Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince

An opinion of the film from someone who has only read the first three books.

Well, I just got home from the local cinima.

First off, the storyline was very easy to follow so even if you’ve never read a single Harry Potter book, or even seen a movie you should get it, all you have to know is what the series is about ( although I suggest seeing the other movies first).  The comedy that was slipped into the movie was mostly based on the groups “awkward” adolecence, I found these jokes took away from the epic story, also, parts of the movie seemed like a “spoof” version of the film. As far as CGI goes, wonderful, often during the movie you may not notice the CGI right in front of you, although I did not see any really “intuitive” CGI, the sort of thing this franchise is sort of known for. After the film I was left a little bit disapointed, the movie was too long and did not address some key questions I had about the series.

This movie gets three Guardian Zombies out of five.

I am not a fan of Harry Potter, neither the books nor the films BUT any subject that attracts millions of kids to the love of reading IS most definitely a good thing. :-)
