In this article I will be telling you about a movie and I will give a brief review to explain what it is about and why I like them.
Movie Name: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Genre: Animation, Comedy, Family
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a funny, family movie about a scientist [Flint Lockwood] who makes inventions that usually don’t work. The movie is set in Swallow Falls, a town under the ‘A’ in the Atlantic. When his town’s economy is failing, the Mayor raises money for a theme park [Sardine Land]. Flint while trying to create a new invention to help save the town destroys the town. [Flint tries to create a machine that uses water to create food]. The invention he is creating requires large amounts of electrical energy. The machine he creates eventually rockets through Sardine Land and smashes through the attractions destroying Sardine Land. He goes to the docks and sulks over his failure to help the town and meets a television reporter [Samantha Sparks] who’s future is ruined because of the invention. While talking, they find that the machine is actually working as it is taking water from the clouds and therefore creating food all over the town. Everyone in the town is happy that Flints inventions are actually working. Flint, however, is sad as the one person who has misunderstood him his whole life is not happy, his dad. His dad [Tim]says that the invention is going to turn into a disaster like all the ones before the machine.
Everything goes well until Flint realizes that everyone is asking for more food and everyone is getting fat. Eventually, Flint takes his dad out for dinner and he finally realizes that the food is growing bigger because the more food they ask for the more clouds that are consumed and the bigger the food. Eventually a food tornado happens and Flint is sent to destroy it but the Mayor sees this as an opportunity to get more tourists and get the economy running again and the Mayor destroys the kill-code a way to stop the machine from ever making food again. He destroys the machine in the end and Tim finally accepts Flint for who he is and Flint and Samantha share their first kiss.
