Bollywoods favourite and evergreen super star Dev Anand passes away on today, Sunday 04, 2011.
The cause death was stated to be Cardiac Arrest (heart attack), according to sources Dev was not well for last few days. Dev was known and famous for his trademark hair puff, smil and slopping walk. He was star of countess hit movies like “Jhony mera naam” “Amir Garib” , “Jewel Theif” and many many more. Dev Anand appeared as star in 1946 in movie “Hum aik hayn” and in 1947’s hit movie, “Ziddi”. dev Anand was honoured with “Dada Sahed Phalke Award” in 2002. ALso he established his own film production company in 1949 and produced around 35 films.
He won 2 Filmfare Awards, which are india’s equivalent of the Oscars. In 1958 for his performance in the film “Kala Paani” and in “Guide”.Anand had a supreme self-confidence and energy that drove his many acting, producing and directing projects, believing he had a unique creativity and vision to share.
He will be remembered by his fans
