Starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey as Phil and Claire Foster and Mark Wahlberg as the shirtless hi-tech security guy with a penchant for foreign ladies, Date Night is a movie about the Fosters, a normal married couple stuck in a typical rut which neither of them wants to admit.
One night a week they get a babysitter and head off on a ‘date night’ at their local steakhouse, but one night, deciding to make more effort, (sparked by Claire’s increased cleavage!) they go to the cool and happening new reataurant ‘Claw’ where they are unable to get a table, until Phil hits on the idea of stealing someone’s reservation!
This scheme results in what can only be described as a riotous rollercoaster ride as the couple become embroiled as suspects in a blackmail plot, are chased by gun-toting hoodlums posing as cops and enlist the repeatedly shirtless Mark Wahlberg to help them escape back to their normal lives!
This is a fun, laugh out loud film that will leave you with a smile on your face, and I will give you one tip, be sure to stay to the end for the hilarious out-take reel!
Tina Fey sure is hilarious! and her kid is cute.
