Current Trends of Film Industry in India

In this article I have described the current scenario of Indian film industry right from their attire to their content.

Gone  are  the  days  when  even  the  kissing  were  shown  using  a  flower, actresses  wear  descent  dresses, content  was  basically  melodrama  but  with  the  pace  of  time  everything  is  changing  rapidly  and  so  the  film  industry. This  is  the  time  where  audiences  use  to  prefer  films  that  are  completely  different  from  so  called  melodrama. There  was  a  time  when  whole  family  goes  out  for  a  movie  every  weekend  as  a  part  of  entertainment  but  today  movies  are  rated  as  ”ADULT”  and  therefore  it  is  very  absurd  to  watch  it  with  family. Today, most  producers  think  that  audiences  will  only  watch  their  movies  only  when  it  contains  obscenes.  Well,  nothing  is  wrong  in  it  as  these  are  the  things  which  are  liked  by  every  person  but  vulgarity  lies  when  they  show  the  wrong  portrayl  of  woman. They  use  woman  as  their  commodity  which  is  wrong  as  it  affects  our  values. Other  than  the  attire  of  today’s  stars  have  changed  altogether as  if  they  have  started  wearing  short  dresses  and  they  are  more  prone  to  western  culture. It  feels  like  they  have  completely  forget  the  Indian  culture.

                                                                              Lets  come  to  some  creative  aspects  now. Early, films  are  generally  based  on  the  genre  like  melodrama  but  today  they  are  more  prone  to  story  related  to  living  relationships, sex, homosexuality, IITians  etc.  Directors  are  getting  more  attracted  towards  various  international  venues  like  in  KAL  HO  NA  HO, EK  MAIN  HUN  AUR  EK  TU  etc.   When  it  comes  to  various  promotional  strategies  it  has  changed  tremendously ; earlier  where  never  promote  their  movies  today  there  are  ample  of  promotional  strategies  used  by  actors  like  recently  shah  rukh  khan  is  seen  launching  a   You  tube  channel  to  promote  his  film  RA.ONE  and  also  various  malls  activity  and  road  shows  were  also  seen  to  promote  various  films.
