Bon Cop Bad Cop – Review

Bon cop bad cop is a movie filled with laughter, surprises, explosions, and a lot more. Even though Quebec  movies are not very popular in Canada, bon cop bad cop is just as good. Right as the movie starts a victim is chosen by the tattoo killer and is beaten to his death. We may think tattoo killer is done with the victim but then the victim is placed on a billboard with half his body in toronto and the other half in montreal. Now both have officer ward and bouchard have to work together to solve who the tattoo killer is. 

Bon cop bad cop is funny and had everyone laughing. I didn’t see anyone in this class who didn’t laugh. For example when they went into an old house full of weed that they accidentally smoked and almost got fired or when bouchard was putting luc terrian in the trunk of his car. there was a lot lf searing in this movie which made it even funnier to watch. the actors had a good sense of humor and playing the role. This movie had me laughing non stop. The writer did an amazing job with the comedy. if i had to pick my favorite part i wouldn’t be able to pick one because they were all really funny in my opinion. Rick mercer also had a funny part in the movie where he played a news person.

Not only is this movie funny but it is also interesting where every part is surprising. For example when we thought luc terrian exploded in the trunk he didn’t, he was still alive. The director incorporated hockey in this movie very well. It was not just another boring hockey movie it was exciting filled with explosions. the most surprising part to me would be that luc terrian was still alive and that the person who really died in that explosion was the waitress. it was also surprising when  the tattoo killer kidnapped gabrielle and used her as hostage.

The actors were very good and chosen well for their parts. After watching this i can’t see any other actor for this movie because they did such a good job. The mothers crying scene for the kidnap of Gabrielle  or when Gabrielle was tied to a chair with a bomb. Bouchard and ward were nominated for best actor award in the 27th Genie awards. This movie has had a lot if success and still is. This movie has won the best motion picture award and overall sound award in the 27th genie awards and billet d’or award in Quebec’s justra awards which is given to the highest box office success. this movie has had a lot of success and not just in Quebec but all around canada.

The story was very ironic and some parts were confusing because some parts were english and others were french. There were also twists in the movie like luc terrian still being alive and the plot was unique. The director did not let us find the tattoo killer until the end, the suspect would throw us off track. Although there are subtitles so it wasn’t as confusing. Although over all the movie was great and the twists were good because it was shocking being wrong and surprised.

The only thing i would say could have been better is the ending. It was too quick and the ending should finished with more action. In the end all that happened was they find the guy save Gabrielle and have a fight. There was something missing and if they had that something the movie would have been amazing with no problems. Except for the ending there was good action that was needed and it was realistic also. 

Bon cop bad cop is an amazing movie and i can watch it again and again. This is an enjoyable movie with a lot of comedy, action and adventure. This movie is like a roller coaster it is sad and funny and in the end it was worth the time watching this. Out of all of the Quebec movies this one would be the best movie in my opinion. This movie has won a lot of awards and will not be forgotten for a long time. This movie came out in 2007 and people are still taking about it. there was no part in this movie that was boring there was always something going on. this is an amazing crime and thriller movie.
