Bollywood vs. Hollywood

Indian film industry vs Hollywood.

Hindustan print and electronic TV media is always full of news and reports about the Bollywood’s highly increasing affects in the world film industry and how it is chasing up successfully with the giant Hollywood. Let us look at some interesting facts.

History of both industries:

Bollywood film industry was started in 1899 with the production of short black and white films and on the other hand Hollywood’s birth take placed eleven years later in 1910 also with black & white short soundless movies.Hollywood normally producing more than 400 movies per year in mostly in English language on average and it has a worldwide viewers of 3 billion .Whereas Bollywood film industry produces not more than 900 in Hindi language films every year and the interesting thing is that it has also a worldwide audience of about 3 Billions.

Commercial Movies:

The major difference between Hollywood and Bollywood commercial movies is that Indian films having a must feature of periodic song-and-dance routines of 5 to 10 minutes which, in a good movie. Top 100 disco songs is most selling album in Indian history. Songs are recorded by professional play-back singers and lip synched by movie characters normally actors and actresses.

Achievements:

“Slumdog Millionaire” is a Hollywood movie but it totally cast having Bollywood actors and actress, mostly new talent this is the first Indian movie that won 8 Oscars Awards in the history. This great achievement celebrated in whole India when this movie won Oscars.
