Kajol is one of the hot and top bollywood actresses in India. Kajol is one of the most versatile Indian actresses, who has made it to the top through her hard work and sincerity. Extremely talented, her performance has always been appreciated by the Indian folks.

Kajol was born to actress Tanuja and film producer Shomu Mukherjee on 5 August 1975. Kajol was born into a Bengali-Marathi family. Kajol did her schooling at St.Joseph’s in Panchgani till she was seventeen when she quit school to play actress.

Kajol married actor turned producer Ajay Devgan in 1999 and the couple had a daughter Nysa. kajol took a break from movies, making a comeback in 2006.

Kajol left her studies, while she was in school. Kajol career started when she was just seventeen. Kajol first movie was ‘Bekhudi’ that released in 1992. It was not successful at the box office. In 1993, Kajol acted in a movie ‘Baazigar’ oppsosite to Sharukk Khan. The film was her first major hit of that year. In 1994, Kajol starred in ‘Yeh Dillagi’, which was successful hit and nominated as Filmfare Best Actress Award.

In 1995, Kajol acted in many movies of which ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ was not only the biggest hit of that year, but one of Hindi cinema’s biggest hits. In 2008, the film entered its twelfth year in Mumbai theaters, grossing over 12 billion rupees overall, making it one of the biggest blockbusters in Bollywood. Kajol’s performance in the film was praised, and she received her first Filmfare Best Actress Award.

In 1997, Kajol ‘Minsaara Kanavu’, which is a Tamil film, won Filmfare Best Actress Award South. In 1998, Kajol had many successful films, which were ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’, ‘Dushman’, ‘Duplicate’, ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’ and ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Some of these films won, Filmfare Best Actress Award. Kajol won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her performance as Anjali in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.

In 1999, kajol acted in the moive ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’, which won nominated as Filmfare Best Actress Award. In 2001, kajol moive ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham’ won the Filmfare Best Actress Award. After that the year 2003, kajol appeared in the song Maahi Ve for the film ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’.

After a long gap, means three years in 2006 made a come back with Fanaa, a story about a blind girl Zooni who falls in love with a terrorist, played by Aamir Khan. It won her the Filmfare Best Actress Award. She made some appearances in song sequences in ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, ‘Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna’, ‘Om Shanthi Om’, and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. In 2008, she starred in’ U, Me Aur Hum’ which was directed and produced by Ajay Devgan and did reasonably well.

In 2010, kajol moive with Sharukh Khan ‘My Name is Khan’ which is successfully runninig. Kajol’s upcoming moives are ‘Love You Maa’, Toonpur Ka Superrhero’ and ‘Koochie Koochie Hota Hain’.
