Bipasha Basu is one of the hot and popular Indian bollywood actresses. Bipasha means deep dark desire. Bipasha Basu is listed as number seven of "Top Bollywood Actresses" of 2006.

Bipasha Basu was born on January 7th, 1979 in New Delhi. Bipasha is the second of three sisters, born and brought up in a Hindu Bengali family, Bipasha Basu is fluent in Hindi, English, and Bengali.

Bipasha Basu studied science till the 12th standard and then studied commerce at The Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society College, an undergraduate college affiliated with the University of Calcutta. In Kolkata, Bipasha Basu did modeling and ramp shows partime.

In 2002, Bipasha Basu starred in Telugu movie ‘Takkari Donga’ opposite Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and Vikram Bhatt’s thriller ‘Raaz’. ‘Raaz’ was a big commercial success and surfaced as the biggest hit of that year. Bipasha Basu won Best Actress performance for that movie.

Bipasha Basu is currently dating actor John Abraham. The couple have been together since late 2002 and have been referred to as a supercouple in the Indian media.

Bipasha Basu’s upcoming movies are ‘Pankh’, ‘Lamhaa’, ‘Nishaad’ and ‘No Problem’.
