Black Hole

I found this movie quite interesting and unique to say the least.  It’s a sci-fi tale of epic proportions, while there is a Disney movie by the same name this movie is from nu image and active entertainment.  It is a Ken Badish/Boaz Davidson production.  Starring Kristy Swanson, Judd Nelson, David Selby, Heather Dawn, Jennifer Quackenbush, and Christa Campbell.

At the beginning, the movie starts out with this

“In July of 1999, a panel of nuclear physicists discussed the possibility that a heavy ion collider experiment could result in the formation of a black hole.  After an extended debate the panel decided that such a scenario was not just highly unlikely, but impossible.  They were wrong”

That is where the story begins, most of it takes place at the Midwestern quantum research laboratory, in St. Louis.  It begins when something goes wrong at the lab.  It is then up to Shannon, and a team of researchers at the lab to determine the cause of the disaster.  At that point her partner (and boyfriend) Dr. Eric Bryce is brought in to help with the situation.

Things only get more complicated when the general in charge of determining a plan of action suggests nuclear action. Dr. Bryce tells him that is a really bad idea.  After all a black hole is not something you can just get rid of like that.

It is then up to Dr. Bryce to come up with an alternative plan of action.

Will they succeed in containing the Black Hole, or will it be the end?  Watch the film to find out.
