When I rented this movie, I think I watched it about three times. It was that amazing. It’s a story about a guy living in the suburbs. From a young age, Maurie has had to step into the father role for his two younger siblings who are a bit off the mark. The movie shows Maurie as a physics teacher waiting for tenure, and his golden ticket is his neighbor, who let’s his dog loose on Maurie’s lawn. In other words, it is a metaphorical dumping on Maurie. As the story progresses, Maurie’s eccentric younger siblings move in, and things quickly become chaotic. Despite all of this, Maurie is still waiting, hoping that things will get better. He is absorbing impact as he just waits for good things to come his way.

Maurie soon learns, that instead of sitting around waiting,he should be enjoying his life what what he has been blessed with. Even though things are erratic in his family, it is with them that he feels most at home. This story causes you to think, and contemplate what it means to be truly happy. Watch and Enjoy!
