Khan made appearances as a child artist in his uncle Aamir’s films ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ (1988) and ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander’ (1992). Khan made his debut as a lead actor in the 2008 film ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, produced by Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan and co-starring Genelia D’Souza. The film received rave reviews from critics and proved to be one of the biggest hits of the year. It won him Filmfare Best Male Debut Award.
Khan became engaged to his long time girlfriend, Avantika Malik, on January 16, 2010 in Avantika’s family’s farm house in Karjat.
Khan made his next appearance in the action movie ‘Luck’ with Shruti Haasan and Sanjay Dutt. His forthcoming movies include ‘Delhi Belly’ is an English language comedy directed by debutant Abhinay Deo, ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ directed by debutant Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar and ‘Break Ke Baad’ directed by debutant Danish Aslam and produced by Kunal Kohli. Khan recently co-hosted the 54th Filmfare Awards alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
