70th Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz

In the year 1900 a book was published by a writer named Lyman Frank Baum. Years layer his book The Wizard of Oz became a wonderful motion picture in August of 1939.  This story of a young girl named Dorothy Gale and her three friends has certainly entrapped millions of adoring fans worldwide.  It’s timelessness has touched the hearts of fans everywhere for the past seventy years.  This year, 2009 currently marks  the 70th Anniversary of the classic 1939 film of the Wizard of Oz.  Oz fans and Collectors will have much to look forward to all year long celebrating this fact.  Barbie has set forth a new line of sound bit dolls approaching Wal Mart.  The National Tour of the 1939 film is in full swing currently touring the United States.  Hallmark stores will come out with their very own line of Wizard of Oz ornaments. New Oz doll creations will be spreading like wildfire in a wheat field including Tonner, Wilde Imagination, and Goodreau dolls will Present Upside Down Oz.  Madame Alexander will put out their 2009 Oz dolls respectively.  Plus new documentaries and books will becoming out later this year to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz including the Blu Ray Version of this 1939 classic.
