3 Movies with Reel Life Lessons

Anyone who’s seen these movies can learn a few lessons the easy way–through someone else’s experiences (granted, these are fictional experiences).

Runaway Bride

Okay, if imaging is crucial in achieving one’s goals, why then did Julia Roberts bolt from her fourth attempt at marriage even if she had no less then a football coach to help her visualize? Because she missed an important step. Visualizing won’t do you much good if you don’t actually want what you’re visualizing in the first place. So do yourself a favor and figure out what you really want before you set out to achieve things. And remember: the only way to figure out what you really want is to know who you really are (down to how you like your eggs done).

Cruel Intentions

Sarah Michelle Gellar displays remarkable focus and determination as she malevolently plots the downfall of those around her. Unfortunately, she fails to realize that although her goals are achievable, they are nowhere near being noble or worthy of her commitment. In the end, she is left with a brief and empty victory, an unsalvageable reputation, and a really screwed-up future.

Never Been Kissed

Former not-even-nerd/outcast Drew Barrymore gets a second crack at high school and luckily, after some trial and error, she gets things right this time around. She makes friends, stands up for them, stands up for herself, and gets her first really good kiss.

You make the valid point that you not only should enjoy movies, but that you can learn from them too.
