127 Hours

A brilliant movie, not for the weak hearted.

I finally had the chance to see the movie 127 Hours staring James Franco.  I will not even wait to give it a rating, this movie definitely gets two rocking thumbs up from me.

The movie is based on a true story about an independent young man, Aron Ralston, who goes for a hike and ends up being trapped in a narrow canyon.  Though I went into the movie pretty familiar with the story, I’ll try not to give to much of it away.  The movie is definitely not for the weak hearted or stomached as there are some very graphic scenes, graphic enough that in the test showings, people were passing out due to the intensity.  The intensity is needed and could not have been left out due to the importance to the movie.  This young man did what the majority of us probably could not have done to save his own life.

James Franco did a superb job in this film.  There are other characters in the movie but none that can even be called major, as the majority of the film is in Franco’s face.  He has acted in numerous big budget movies but none will ever stand out to me the way 127 Hours forever will.  He’s definitely come a long way since playing Harry Osborn in the Spider-Man trilogy.

If you are looking for a film that will take your breath away and really think about life, go see 127 hours, you will not be disappointed.

:) You beat me to it my friend.
We just watched it yesterday and indeed I applaud the courage of the young man. Not a single moment that he showed total weakness. Whenever there was a time that He felt like giving up.

He just think of the beautiful things that he love to do and his love ones. That made him survive the ordeal.

    great post here :)
