When first seeing the trailer for the new movie Up, it appeared as though it would be another cute driven movie by Pixar. However, after having seen the movie I can say that Pixar did a wonderful job at appealing to both a young audience with a funny and enjoyable story line, as well as adults with a very touching back story that actually brought me to tears slightly on two occasions.
The movie managed to look over many plot and concept gaps, simply by making you not care about them as the story was too enjoyable to consider nit-picking. The story is about an older man and his quest to achieve a life long ambition as he now finds himself with nothing left. Along the way however, he is taken on a journey he did not except, as cliche as that sounds. During his journey, there is a moment where he can almost complete his goal, however is torn between what he has spent most of his life dreaming about and crossed his heart that he would do, and something more important he discovered along the way.
Pixar is known for their ground breaking graphics, however this movie offers more than just a visual joyride, it is a very heart warming tale that stands to teach a bit about where our values are in life, and the true meaning of an adventurous life. I highly recommend any see this that still has a heart.
