Two Tricks Used in Movies You Probably Haven’t Learnt Yet

Learn them now.

People watch movies, enjoy them, love them, and cherish them and what not. There are good movies and bad movies, offending movies and supporting movies. We meet boring movies, fun movies, humorous movies, spiritual movies, brave movies and horror movies. After all we’ve seen in the Indian horror movies, with ghosts made of flour in their faces, and covered with mud, we trust on English movies the most.

You see movies, but ever wondered how the various effects are performed in one?

In this article, I am going to show two tricks used in Indian and English movies:

1.       Breaking glass – So I came across this type of scenes in various action movies, both Hindi (Indian) and English (Hollywood). Ever doubted why people don’t have broken heads/disfigured bodies after running through a glass wall, or after having the villain throw a glass bottle into the hero’s head. I have done research on it on the net, watched National Geographic and Animal Planet, had discussions on forums on the web, and I am now finally concluding with my reaction.

See this scene from the Indian movie ‘Wanted’:

As you perhaps know, the villain lights fire to a champagne bottle, and then throw it towards the hero’s chest. Immediately, his chest is set ablaze, but he stops the fire and strips himself off. So why did not the hero achieve any injury, scratch or burn to his chest?

The glass used in making bottles and walls in movies are processed with sugar, in a process called sugar-ring. So when people get hit by this kind of bottles, or even run through glass walls, they are not hurt

I searched it on YouTube, and found a video where you can learn making this kind of bottles:

And these are the kind of bottles used:

2. Women gulping eggs (seriously?) —- Now see this scene from the Hindi (Bollywood) movie ‘Hisss’:

The lady, Mallika Sherawat, is gulping a crocodile’s egg, downing it through her throat. This is a simple trick used by many other roadside magicians. See the picture in the under part of the portrait. The lady’s throat is pumping like a snake’s. It is simple, you just have to gulp a jujube fruit, and down it through you throat, and your throat will pump out the same way. So the lady pretended that she was eating the egg, but then replaced with jujube, pausing the camera.

PLEASE DO NOT IMITATE HER, NEITHER WITH THE JUJUBE NOR THE EGG! BECAUSE IF YOU CHOKE AND DIE, I WILL BE HELD CAPTIVE.

Hope you find this piece of information useful.
