Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen grosses an estimated 16 million dollars in midnight shows.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, released on June 24, 2009 in North America is the sequel to the Transformers movie released in 2007. And the second movie in the Transformers series. Directed by Michael bay, this movie is based on a alien species of robots interacting with the humans on Earth. The autobots, or the good robots teamed up with the United States military and British Special Forces against the Decepticons, the bad aliens.
On opening day, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen grossed 60.6 million dollars. And an estimated 16 million in midnight showings alone. Setting the record for highest gross on a wednesday opening. And second to the all time opening day record in gross, to the Dark Knight released in 2008.
