The camera angles in the movie, Tomorrow Never Dies, were very effective to make the movie more entertaining. When James Bond is on his motorcycle in the alleyways, he is trapped by a dead end and an enemy helicopter is blocking the exit. The film maker uses a camera angle to show the view of the alleyway through James Bond’s eyes. This is very effective in the movie because it shows what a predicament he is in and how he sees the situation. This makes the movie more entertaining because it make the audience like the helicopter is coming for them. Another effective camera angle is when James Bond is running across the bridge to the antenna. While he is running across the bridge, the camera angle is a birds eye view, showing how far the drop is if he falls. The camera angle is effective because it shows that James Bond must be careful or else he will fall to his doom and not complete the mission. Not only were the camera angles an effective way to entertain watchers, the special effects helped to make the movie entertaining.
The special effects in the movie, Tomorrow Never Dies, were very effective to make the movie entertaining. When James Bond is sitting on the bed, with a hit man sitting in a chair asking him to unlock his car, James Bond tricks the hit man to hit the security password that gives the hit man a paralyzing shock. This gives James Bond enough time to grab the gun from the hit man and kill him. The special effect of the bolts of electricity shooting from the cell phone to the hit man was effective to show Bond attaining the upper hand to advance forward on his mission. Another example is when the stealth boat is being bombarded by missiles being shot from England’s Royal Navy. James Bond was able to create an explosion in the stealth boat that lit up the night sky. This gave the location of the stealth boat to the navy so they could take it out with their missiles. The explosions inside the stealth boat were great special effects showing that the stealth boat was being destroyed by the incoming missiles. The explosions ripped the stealth ship apart so it was not able to fire off a rocket to china and start an all out war between China and Great Britain. When the final explosion took place, the stealth ship was totally destroyed and the threat was gone. This showed that James Bond’s mission was a total success. The special effects were vital in this part of the movie because it showed that the conflict was being resolved so the conclusion of the story could take place. The camera angles and the special effects were both effective in making the plot to continue and make the movie interesting.
