Role Model: Ray Embrey of the Movie, Hancock
Ray Embrey may look like an ordinary mortal, but he is definitely not.
Ray Embrey of the movie, Hancock, is a role model. This is a man that follows his heart and wants to do the right thing. Ray is working his dream job in public relations. It is obvious he chose that particular field because he wanted to change the world, especially when you see him visiting businesses, asking them to put the heart logo on their products, and asking them to give their product to people who need it, and cannot afford to buy it. Ray stands by his principles and values. He cares about people.
Here is a man who works hard and uses the knowledge and resources he has to take care of his family. He believes in people first, and what they have the capability of doing.
He sees the good in people, which is probably why he decided to do public relations for Hancock. He is thankful that Hancock saved his life. Ray sees Hancock as a lost soul who needs a little help getting back on his feet. He creates a plan and some gives him some simple things that improve the way he looks to the people that are not hard for Hancock to follow.
He teaches the same thing to his son Aaron, who sees the same good in Hancock that his father sees. Ray is not afraid to give up his life to do the right thing, which is why his wife Mary loves his so much, as finds such value in her husband.
Ray is thrown a few surprises, but although things he learns a little take him aback, he stands by the people he cares for. Ray does not hold grudges. Despite what he learns, he must already know that the people he cares for do not let him down, because they never seem to let him down.
