Karan Johar had initially approached Shahrukh Khan for this role as reported by now it is Rishi Kapoor who plays this homosexual gay role who is sharing a very special relationship with the actor Ronit Roy’s character in this movie. ishi Kapoor plays the role of a dean of a college in this film, Student of the year.
Well, this role maybe a very different for Rishi Kapoor ever. Rishi Kapoor confirmed the media that he is playing this role in the movie as a character of gay. Rishi Kapoor tells that the role is one of the most challenging roles he had taken in his career and has taken a chance to experiment with new roles. He tells that he wanted to play something different that just a typical Bollywood’s father and when Karan Johar approached Rishi for this gay role, would just couldn’t tell Karan a ‘no’.
