Movie Reviews- Indiana Jones and The Raiders of The Lost Ark
One of the greatest movies of all time!

Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first of the original trilogy, and the best of the series. Released in 1981, Raiders has it all; action, comedy, romance, Nazis, religion, lost treasure, and that big stone bowling ball that crushes anything in its path. It stars Harrison Ford and Karen Allen as Indy and Marion.
Most everyone has seen or at least heard of the Indiana Jones movies, but for any of you who haven’t, Indy is a treasure hunter/archaeologist, played by Harrison Ford, that goes around the world in search of one-of-a-kind artifacts. The original trilogy is set in the early 1940s, in the time of Nazi Germany. The 2008 film, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, takes place after WWII, in the 1950s.
In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Hitler’s minions are searching near Cairo for the legendary Ark of the Covenant. U.S. army intelligence agents seek Indy’s help in recovering the lost Christian treasure before the Nazis can. The adventure takes him from the jungles of South America, to Nepal, to Egypt, and he eventually ends up at a secret Nazi base. And there are gun fights, car chases, booby-traps, fist fights, and even a pit full of snakes all along the way.
For those of you who haven’t seen it, remember, it was 1981, so the special effects are nothing fancy, but they are used sparingly, and done pretty well. If you haven’t seen it, go rent it right now! For those of you who have, I hope you’ll join me in calling this one of the greatest movies of all time.
