First of all, this review is 120% my own opinion and it is possible that you like the movie more or less than me. And to be honest, I did not like this movie very much. I will get back to that a bit later.
Let’s start with what the makers call “story” or “plot”. That one is easy: Archeologists find matching paintings on several cave walls. The Wayland Corporation sends out a space ship to explore the star constellation shown on the cave walls. And guess what? They find life. I won’t go into detail more but hey, wasn’t it predictable that they find something?
The trailer is more interesting than the whole movie:
The plot is pretty thin and I constantly asked myself “Could they please skip this scene and get to a more interesting one?”. For me personally, the movie has nothing that had not yet been told in other movies *yawn* Yes, the “yawn factor” is the only thing that’s high…
Prior to watching this movie, I had been warned that the film might be pretty gory. Ok, so either I watched a cencored version or that one slightly gory scene (won’t tell you what but hey, it’s about ALIENS) was pretty lame and again predictable!
If this movie is one thing, it is predictable. Oh, and lame. I don’t think it does tell us anything we did not already think to know about aliens and predators.
So overall, I’d rate this movie with half a star of 5 ^^
