Fast and Furious 2.5
A movie review of the newest release of Fast And Furious. You could also call it an overview if you’d like.
Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) are together once again in the newest release of the Fast And Furious collection. The movie is set in between 2 Fast 2 Furious and Fast And Furious:Tokyo Drift, giving this review it’s name. The movie starts with the team stealing petroleum trailers as shown in previews. The first ten minutes of the movie basically get you attached to the movie and let new viewers see what Dom is capable of. The movie slows down for a while and sets into dialog explaining what was going on. Basically, the cops were still looking for Dom and he doesn’t want anybody to go down with him when he’s caught. So, the crew that he’s with separates and he sneaks off when Letty is sleeping because she wants to stay with him.
The location Dom chose to hide seems to be Mexico and while he is there someone very close to him is killed. The murder of the loved one compels him to find the person behind it. It turns out to be the city’s largest drug lord. The fact that the man is the city’s largest drug lord is what brings Brian O’Connor into the picture. Brian has been reinstated as a cop and is supposed to bring down the drug lord. Both Dom and Brian have discovered that the best way to get close to the drug lord is by racing to become drivers for him.
When the drivers are called to transfer goods, they are searched for tracking devices and shipped to an unknown location. After the transfer is finished, there is an unexpected twist in which Dom and Brian barely escape with their lives. They also happen to escape with the shipment. In order to finally meet the drug lord that they have been working for, they arrange a trade. The deal is the shipment for six million dollars and a meeting with the drug lord.
Things start to look bad for the two of them when it turns out nothing is what it seems. They have nothing to lose when they decide to go to the drug lord’s town in Mexico with the intention of killing him and all of his followers. Ironically, the two wheelmen will have to race for their lives to the border…of the United States.
