Dark Knight: Best Movie of 2008

 know surprise surprise Dark Knight is one of my favorite movies of 2008. You probably have seen this on everyones except the Academy of Motion Pictures’ list. It is pitiful when a movie has been so highly praised doesn’t get the nomination it deserves. Of course as we have been hearing since before the movie came out Heath Ledger takes this movie from great to legendary. Mark my words his performance in this movie will be the standard that each and every comic book bad guy will be compared to from now on.

He takes the movie away from our heroin Christain Bale. Christian Bale in yet another great movie role has outdone his performance in “Batman Begins”. His ability to make Bruce Wayne and Batman seem like two completely different people. I believe this is what seperates him from the any other actor that has stepped into that role. Even though both of them are derived from the same human being they are completely different. Their mannerisims, voice, and character are all completely different. The movie really wouldn’t be what it is without Christopher Nolan. His ability to direct his actors and use his camera shots puts him in a whole different league. In no way would this movie be the instant classic it is in the hands of anyone else.

In a year where the movies have been a little less than average in quality the “Dark Knight” stood out. It is an amazing tale for anyone and I have yet to find a soul who doesn’t like it.
