Casino Royale: Review

The newest of the James Bond movies came out last year and i have decided to write on whether the movie was good or bad. It was based on the 1953 novel, Casino Royale by Ian Fleming.

On the plus side, The effects were great you could just feel the intensity, especially in the scene where James is chasing a man and they are jumping off cranes onto buildings.

The poker match was also very believable as we see James playing poker with “La Chiffre”, Where James eventually wins with a straight flush.

Also the acting of Daniel Craig who played James Bond, was a very different change to the “Pierce Brosman” type of Bond.

On the minus side, I think that Vesper(Eva Green) could of gotten a bigger role in the movie and at the end not of drowned herself, but still that was a pretty dramatic ending.

Also, M (Judi Dench) who is the head of MI6 could of had a bigger part.

Well overall, I think it was a pretty good movie and give it 3 and half stars.

I don’t think this review really does Casino Royale justice. As a life-long Bond fan I was blown away by the way the film completely reinvented the genre…Why not check out my review of the latest Bond movie, ‘Quantum of Solace’?
